Introduction to Biacore T100

Who Should Attend?
New users who need basic information to start using Biacore T100 for high quality protein interaction analysis.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participants will have the basic understanding of Biacore technology, Biacore T100 system operation, assay development, data evaluation and system maintenance to start working with their own assays.

Course Description
The new user is familiarized with Biacore T100 through theory lectures and hands-on sessions and receives comprehensive course documentation. Participants work in small groups on the hands-on exercises and individually on data evaluation exercises to allow for optimum support. The theory lectures include:

The principles of the technology
Biacore T100 hardware and software
Basic Biacore Assay Development
Application of Biacore Technology: Principles and Typical Results
Basic Kinetics
Maintenance

During the hands-on sessions the participants work in the lab and run assays that demonstrate the principles of Biacore assays. The small groups allow for individual support from our experienced lecturers as well as discussions with other participants in an informal environment. The participants are guided through the basic features of Biacore T100 software and practice data evaluation on the results from the hands-on exercises, as well as on demonstration files. At the end of the course, participants receive a certificate of completion.
