CyDye™ fluorophores are a popular choice for labeling in a variety of fluorescence based applications, such as drug-screening assays, microarrays and antibody-labelling. They are available in different chemistries to allow labeling via amine or thiol groups. Recommendations for drug screening For drug screening applications, we recommend the following fluorescent reagents: • For fluorescence polarization and FRET - Cy3B • For TRF - Cy5 in conjunction with our europium chelate, TMT.
Please see the Product Details page for further information. Features
• Red-shifted: compatible with LEADseeker Imaging System and reduce incidence of color quenching. • Bright: CyDye fluors give good quantum yields and have high extinction coefficients. • Robust: pH insensitive between 3 and 10, all CyDye fluors can be used at biologically relevant pH. • DMSO tolerant: samples can be transferred from storage to assay, without loss of performance.
• Good aqueous solubility: can be run in biologically relevant assay buffers; no need for organic solvents. • Superior photostability compared to many other dyes (e.g. fluorescein). • Pure: QC tested to ensure high levels of chromophore and reactive dye content. ´ • Supplied with comprehensive guide to labeling proteins, peptides, and oligonucleotides.
