Introduction to HitHunter
|
HitHunter Enzyme fragment complementation (EFC) chemiluminescent and fluorescent assays are robust, reliable platforms specifically designed for high throughput screening. The HitHunter EFC assays provide a rapid and homogeneous methodology for detecting intracellular analytes such as GPCR second messengers, kinases and proteases.
The HitHunter EFC assay protocols are easy to automate, reduce CVs, and improve Z' values. Their configuration accommodates 96-, 384- and 1536-well formats, making them ideal for screening libraries of agonists and antagonists.

The HitHunter assay principle
|
Key benefits: - Homogeneous: No mixing steps and limited number of reagent additions.
- Simple format: Single label technology based on enzyme fragment complementation (EFC) technology.
- Versatile: Compatible with a range of biological targets including second messengers, kinases, receptors, and proteases.
- Choice of read out: separate assays for chemiluminescence and red-shifted fluorescence detection can be read on plate readers or imagers such as LEADseeker Multimodality Imaging System.
- Suitable for HTS: amenable to automation and can be run in 96-, 384- and 1536-well format.
